How to unlock all special drinks in Coffee Talk Episode 2 Hibiscus and Butterfly

Special drinks in Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly refers to the drink recipes recorded in your Brewpad, which require you to put three ingredients in a specific order to make. This means that standard drinks, like Honey Chocolate, do not count as a special drink as they’re not recorded in the Brewpad.

Honey Chocolate is not considered a special drink.

You also only need to brew a special drink once for it to be recorded and this can be done in the Story mode and both Endless modes – Free Brew and Challenge. So, if you’re missing a special drink from your Story mode playthrough, you can easily unlock it by jumping into Free Brew and making it without affecting the storyline.

Cooking Guide (Unlock & Recipes)

Cooking Guide (Unlock & Recipes)

The resident cook of the Strawhats, Sanji, has to unlock their cooking ability with lost memory cubes in order to provide recipes that buff the party.

Ever since Baratie, Sanji has provided meals to the Strawhat crew through his excellent cooking ability, but in One Piece Odyssey the events of the main story prevent players from utilizing his signature skills until they unlock certain recipes. Instead, Sanji’s cooking returns through memory cubes that upgrade his recipes to aid the party during combat with powerful buffs, such as clearing status conditions or restoring health. Capable of increasing from an initial Level 1 until Level 3, new food combinations are given to the player at each stage as fights grow more difficult in later chapters.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Cooking as a mechanic does not appear in One Piece Odyssey‘s sprawling story until Chapter 2, where the Strawhats find themselves once again in the desert island nation of Alabasta. Venturing out into the deserts beyond the city of Nanohana requires food and water, leading players to the Spice Bean Tavern. Following this main story objective leads to a cutscene in which a challenge is issued to Sanji by the tavern’s cook, opening up a quest for players to find ingredients for Scorpion and Clam Soup. These are easily obtained from the beach west of Nanohana’s Harbor and after fighting scorpions in the desert.

Unlocking Cooking Recipes

One Piece Odyssey Sanji's Kitchen Found at Camp Locations in Every Chapter

Tracking down both ingredients for the rival cook unlocks Sanji’s Level 1 cooking recipes, which may be accessed through the establishment. Various options for crafted food items exist here and increase as Sanji’s abilities only grow as players collect more memory cubes. Like Luffy’s Observation Haki used to level up One Piece Odyssey‘s party fast, Sanji has the innate trait to track down rare ingredients for cooking recipes. Eventually, this leads to Level 2 cooking, which hosts far more potent items, albeit with more complex ingredient needs players must collect before their creation.

Players can access the menu for every cooking item through “Sanji’s Kitchen,” an optional tab found at either the Spice Bean tavern early on or camps in later levels. Higher boosts to XP are directly tied to parties thrown at these camps, so these locations are very important for players looking to gain extra benefits from fights and craft food items before taking on the challenges of the main story.

Mastering Sanji’s Cooking Skills

One Piece Odyssey Sanji Character Introduction During Chapter 1 Cutscene Before Beginning Credits

While a Level 3 cooking tier does exist for Sanji as the ultimate progression of this character skill in One Piece Odyssey, the list of ingredients and effects are simply superior versions of those found in Level 2. There are more uses for the food items crafted than simply rare instances in battle, as Bond Charge Levels between party members unlock special attacks with Sanji if the cooked meals are used to aid them in particularly negative circumstances. Players should not be conservative with these crafted meals, as their ingredients are easy to come by through normal encounters in explored regions throughout every chapter.

A variety of these recipes listed are recommended to be held at all times to fit the different situations of individual battles. For example, if players are having a tough time dealing with an enemy specializing in poison damage, a steady supply of Scorpion and Clam Soup mitigates whatever risk that foe would pose to the crew. One Piece Odyssey‘s JRPG-style gameplay only remains as difficult as players choose it to be, and unlocking all the recipes through cooking certainly makes the game much easier.
